Capstone Year

Capstone Midterm, 2025. I explored the seasonal shifts of Seattle and how architecture could respond to and celebrate these transitions. I proposed a project embedded into the hillside, drawing from local cultural and ecological context. Through extensive research on native plants, animals, and sensory phenomena, I developed four chambers, each dedicated to a season. These spaces incorporated seasonal scents, light, sound, and textures to create immersive experiences aligned with solstices and equinoxes. This study became a formative step in my capstone and laid the groundwork for what would become a cathedral-like vessel honoring the sacred light of each season.
