New York Film Photos, 2025. I visited New York during my last spring break in college, spending time with friends, visiting museums, and interviewing at architecture firms. These film photos capture moments from the city during that transitional week, striking a balance between personal reflection and professional exploration. I had always wanted to move to New York and had been treating the last three spring break trips to the city as a trial run of sorts of what life would be like if I moved to the city. I absolutely had a blast interviewing at firms and getting amazing feedback on how I should change my portfolio to best suit my aspirations. Went to many a good gallery in town, one that stands out was a retrospective on Josef Albers' color paintings, which, as a crazy coincidence as I was in the midst of finishing my capstone using his works as a main source of knowledge and inspiration.
