NATE TATHAM PORTFOLIO
Painting

Painting for Jimmy T’s Place, 2026. This painting is also part of the ongoing series of works depicting my favorite places in DC on found scrap wood. Jimmy T’s Place is a family owned breakfast staple in the gorgeous neighborhood of Capitol Hill that has not changed since the 70s. They have incredible prices, even better food and an atmosphere straight of our your grandma’s living room. The interior is gorgeous and full of local art, weathered floorboards and beautiful creaking furniture generations used. The exterior is a beautiful example of the ornate decorative townhouses found across Capitol Hill and was very fun to paint. The staff loved the painting and have it displayed in the restaurant. Super happy with how the final piece turned out and to give back to an establishment so many people in DC cherish.
